Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers about PlanPulse.

Who can use this PlanPulse?

This installation is private: the owner creates the accounts. The code can run on free-tier services, and it stays free only while usage is small.

Can I install PlanPulse on my phone?

Yes. On Android, open it in Chrome and choose Install app. On iPhone, use Safari, Share, Add to Home Screen. iPhone notifications need iOS 16.4 or newer and the Home Screen install.

How do plain-English tasks work?

Type a sentence such as “remind me tomorrow at 9 AM to pay rent”. PlanPulse finds the date, time, priority and repeat, then shows a preview so you can confirm before anything is saved. The built-in reader handles common phrases; the optional Claude AI assistant, when the owner connects it, understands more.

Do reminders work when the app is closed?

That is how it is designed: a server sends the notification, so the app does not need to be open. Delivery depends on your phone, its battery settings and the network, and it is not guaranteed to the second. The app shows the status of every reminder, and it never says “delivered” unless the service confirms it.

Where is my data stored?

In a private database (Supabase). Each signed-in account can read only its own tasks. See the privacy page for details.

Does PlanPulse support my time zone?

Yes. Choose any time zone in Settings. The default is Asia/Karachi, and daylight-saving changes are handled.

Does it work with WhatsApp?

WhatsApp reminders are built as an optional extra. They need the owner's own WhatsApp Business account, message-template approval from Meta and a few settings, so they are off until that is set up.

Does it cost anything?

The app itself has no fee. It runs on free plans of Supabase and Cloudflare. Optional extras (the Claude AI assistant and WhatsApp messages) are billed by their providers if the owner turns them on. Free plans have limits that can change.
